# create_milestone

`tools/call` · `POST /agent/v1/milestones:create`

Add a milestone to a project that is not archived. Milestones are numbered in order within their project: M1, M2 and so on. Returns the milestone with its number. Needs write access.

## Inputs

- `project` (string, required): A project's slug, such as docs-launch.
- `name` (string, required): The milestone's name, up to 100 characters, such as Search beta.
- `summary` (string): Up to 280 characters on what the milestone delivers.
