# create_team

`tools/call` · `POST /agent/v1/teams:create`

Create a team. It copies the workspace's ticket statuses, gets the default views, and your person joins it. Returns the team. Needs write access, and your person must be a workspace owner or admin.

## Inputs

- `name` (string, required): The team's name, up to 80 characters, such as Web.
- `key` (string, required): 2 to 5 capital letters that start the team's ticket IDs, such as WEB.
- `visibility` (string, one of: `open`, `private`): `open` (the default) lists the team for everyone and anyone can join; `private` lists it only for its members.
