# list_messages

`tools/call` · `POST /agent/v1/messages:list`

List the messages people sent you: a ticket with an ask, such as Draft the ticket, or a mention in a ticket comment. Open messages by default. Read the ticket with get_ticket, do the work, then call complete_message. Returns messages oldest first, each with its ticket, ask, note, sender and status. Needs read access.

- Needs the read grant. Read-only. Idempotent.

## Inputs

- `status` (string, one of: `open`, `all`): `open` (the default) lists queued and delivered messages; `all` adds completed and declined ones.
